The Rise and Fall of the United States has many similarities the the Rise and Fall of Rome. This video explains some of the reasons for the collapse of Rome: excessive centralization, inadequate checks on power, and inadequate leadership being primary issues that face the United States today. When Rome collapsed the descendants of its large and prosperous middle class ended up as serfs under feudal lords. This was not the only path Rome could have taken, but it is the result of gradual decay.
The United States has begun down this path, but it could reverse its course and implement a Version 4 law code that would increase the size of the middle class and the ability of all citizens to pursue life, liberty, and happiness rather than become serfs to a new class of feudal lords.
